How We Started:

Picklebalm® was created by a group of dedicated pickleball players who also work at Compass Health Brands, a leader in pain management and recovery products with over 35 years of expertise in therapeutic wellness.

As active players ourselves, we experienced firsthand the unique physical demands of pickleball—the repetitive overhead motions, quick lateral movements, and extended play sessions that lead to specific pain points in shoulders, elbows, knees, and lower back. We tried existing pain relief products on the market and found them lacking. Generic sports formulas weren't designed for our sport's specific movements, and most came with medicinal odors, greasy textures, and suboptimal active ingredients.

We recognized a gap in the market: pickleball players needed a specialized topical analgesic designed specifically for their needs.

Having direct access to Compass Health Brands' research and development team, we partnered with their recovery experts to develop a clinical-grade formula engineered for pickleball players. The result is a maximum-strength pain reliever (4% lidocaine) with a fast-absorbing, non-greasy formula and a refreshing green tea and sage scent—specifically designed to address the most common pickleball-related pain without compromising performance or comfort.
